The Research&Development division of the CBI Group is made up of a team of young engineers which is used to work with the best design software, a prototypes laboratory and several aeraulic test rooms.


Structural Analysis
Structural analysis software works with Finite Element Method(FEM).

Fem analysis is able to predict structural behavior solving differential equations
in order to calculate stress, deformations, vibrations and frequency of single
components or entire fan system, to optimize the design project.

Graphics visualizations and numerical values are available as output to simply
analyze all results.

CFD Simulation
Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) software generates aeraulic virtual prototypes
which enable to investigate design solutions, evaluating fluid dynamic performances
of single blades, fans and entire systems.

Numerical values and flow visualizations are analyzed and compared with constantly updated existing data in order to provide effective solutions to market requirements.

CFD is similar to a virtual laboratory which, by working on numerical simulation models, anticipates the effective aeraulic performances.

Prototypes Laboratory
The design phase continues in our prototypes laboratory.
We are equipped with a sophisticated full automatic test room in Monza plant projected according to the AMCA standards.

The operator drives the test execution from the workstation console, setting the appropriate throat sections.

The test room software registers the measurements of the entire fan curve
(pressure, power, efficiency, test data and nominal data, temperature) and generates
the detailed test report. 
 

Aeraulic Test Rooms
The engineering project is then completed in ours test room for aeraulic appraisal.
