Industrial Furnace Fans

An industrial furnace lives and dies by its airflow: combustion air dosed at the right rate, flue gases cleared without lingering, and heat spread evenly through the load. Read here to discover CBI Group's fans for industrial furnace applications.

Industrial Furnace Fans: All The Applications

A furnace is rarely a single airflow problem. Combustion, extraction, heat distribution and large-volume ventilation each pull in a different direction, and each one asks something different of the fan handling it: sustained heat resistance, resistance to corrosive gases, or simply the ability to move a very large volume of air without losing pressure.

At CBI Group, we approach each of these needs separately. This is why our fans for furnace applications are engineered around the specific phase of the process they serve, rather than treated as one generic high-temperature fan.

Centrifugal Fans for Furnace Duty

Centrifugal fans cover most of what a furnace asks of its airflow, and CBI Group splits that demand into three distinct duties, each answered by a specific configuration.

Combustion Air Supply

Burners need a steady, precisely dosed air supply to sustain efficient combustion: too little and the flame starves, too much and efficiency drops. CBI Group's centrifugal fans are built for exactly this kind of duty, used across air conditioning, drying, dust extraction, spray booths, boilers, and furnaces, thanks to their ability to sustain high airflow at a moderate pressure with low noise levels.

Flue Gas & Combustion Gas Extraction

Whether you call it a furnace exhaust fan or simply the extraction stage, flue gases and combustion by-products need to leave the chamber without corroding or clogging whatever's moving them. CBI Group's centrifugal fans are available with heat-resistant construction, designed to keep performing reliably for years, not just a few production cycles.

Hot Air Distribution & Heat Homogenization

An uneven furnace runs longer cycles and delivers inconsistent results. CBI Group's centrifugal fans circulate hot air evenly through the chamber, rated for 400°C as standard, with special executions reaching 700°C for the most demanding processes.

evo series

The EVO Series: Centrifugal Performance at 400°C

When a furnace needs centrifugal performance right at the edge of the standard temperature range, the EVO Series is where CBI's engineers start. It's built specifically to move air within the chamber and distribute heat evenly through the load, rather than simply pushing volume through a duct - its backwardly inclined flat blade and direct-drive arrangement sustain airflows up to 320,000 m³/h at pressures up to 11,000 Pa, holding that output steady at temperatures up to 400°C rather than tapering off as it approaches the limit.

It's the reference model for furnace duty within the standard range, the point where CBI's engineers move from off-the-shelf configuration to special execution only when the process genuinely demands it.

Axial Fans for Furnace Applications

Some furnace installations don't call for pressure against resistance, but for a fan that can survive sitting in a hot, particulate-laden airstream at all.

This is where CBI Group's GAT Series comes in: a belt-driven configuration, rated for temperatures up to 180°C, built specifically for environments where a directly coupled motor wouldn't hold up. The transmission keeps the motor out of the airstream entirely, shielded by a dedicated belt guard; the heavy-gauge steel casing, hot-dip galvanised as standard, is built for continuous exposure without the wear a lighter construction would suffer.

CBI Group Is an Industrial Furnace Fan Manufacturer

 Founded in 1963, CBI Group has spent over six decades developing industrial centrifugal fans for some of the world's most demanding environments, furnaces included. Today, with 4 production plants and 6 branches worldwide, CBI manufactures more than 23,000 fans a year, a scale that reflects trust earned across global markets as much as production capacity.

Beyond the 400°C standard, CBI builds special executions around the installation itself:

  • Flow rate, gas composition and pressure requirements, assessed before a single component is specified;
  • Insulated execution for thermal containment and acoustic attenuation;
  • AISI 304 and AISI 316 stainless steel construction, with galvanisation available;
  • Gastight execution for corrosive or chemically aggressive furnace environments;
  • ATEX compliance available on request for installations where explosive atmospheres are a concern.

Every fan, however complex, goes through a controlled engineering process and comes with full lifecycle support, from design and manufacturing through to maintenance, revamping and spare parts supply, with specialist technicians intervening directly on-site anywhere in the world.
